Gear Head Lathe Machine

Construction Features
BED: Of closely grained special grade alloy cast iron, with gap adequately cross ribbed ror rigidity, seasoned to eliminate chances of distortion and twisting. It has accurately aligned Vee and Flat guideways.
HEADSTOCK: Is a rigid cast-iron body of compact and rugged design to absorb the strains transmitted to it by the spindle. It has parallel adjustable taper roller bearings of ample area to ensure longer and trouble free service to the unit.
TAIL STOCK: Streamlined tail stock of robust construction is provided with Micro Meter dial for line adjustment control in depth drilling. The quill is of self design with a scale.
SADDLE: Sturdily designed to absorb high stresses involved in high speed turning and slides on very large Vee ways. Bed-Wipers are fitted to prevent the ingress of metallic parts on the sliding faces. The Aporn-Box turning feed is an AUTO STOP.
SPINDLE: The hollow spindle of carbon steel is very finely ground and mounted on adjustable Taper Roller bearings on both sides. Every spindle is dynamically balanced.
LEAD SCREW: Made from specially selected stress free annealed carbon steel centreless ground bar. Each lead screw has been finishedon special pith correcting lathe of extreme accuracy so as to result in long life of screw even under the most exacting conditions of service.
